Alcoa’s planned gallium refinery links Perth even closer to the US-led war machine that has left a trail of destruction across the globe.

The US, Australia and Japan gallium deal was framed as being in the national interest, yet in reality it will supply international war efforts, whilst pressuring state and federal governments to greenlight Alcoa’s future destruction of the precious Northern Jarrah Forests. If destroying habitat for endangered species like black cockatoos wasn’t enough, Alcoa’s clearing will soon be producing gallium, a critical component in fighter jets and missiles that are leaving an increasing trail of devastation across the globe.

Come along to this panel to hear from a range of experts and community members on how WA’s backyard is fuelling the war machine and what you can do to stop it.

Tickets are $5 or free for First Nations folks, with all funds going to the campaign to end forest mining.

Getting there: H&C Urban Winery is an 8 minute walk from the Fremantle train station, or the 502 and 915 buses stop right outside. There is limited 30 min free street parking on High St, or paid Secure parking at FOMO.

Accessibility: The venue is wheelchair accessible through the front door. The space itself is accessible but small, and some hallways are a bit narrow.

Please note all under 18s will need to attend with a guardian as this is a licensed venue and alcohol will be served.
