Take action to end forest mining
The Northern Jarrah Forests are being destroyed by bauxite mining, which is now the leading cause of deforestation in the Southwest.
When these forests are mined they don’t come back, ever. We must act now to protect them for future generations.
There are many ways you can be a part of the movement, from contacting decision makers, attending events, putting up signs, donating, and so much more.
Wear your values
Support the campaign and let others know that you care about the Northern Jarrah Forests with our shirts and stickers.
Printed on Wurundjeri country by Etiko, our super soft Fairtrade organic cotton shirts are available in sizes XS to 3XL, and are a unisex cut.
Email the Minister to say no more exemptions!
This sounds great, but the reality is: he plans on issuing Alcoa with an updated order immediately. Alcoa will not stop clearing for even one day. Hundreds of hectares of precious forests are being destroyed every year whilst Alcoa is granted exemption after exemption and allowed to run reckless on the Darling Scarp. So, when is enough, enough?
It’s time that the government took some real action against Alcoa, instead of issuing yet another get out of jail free card. Will you send an email to the Minister to tell him to take action, and stop issuing Alcoa with exemptions?
