Alcoa plans to bulldoze over 11,500 hectares of WA’s precious Jarrah forests, but for the first time in over 60 years of operating, their mining is open for public comment and Western Australians will get a say.
Join us and our friends in the End Forest Mining alliance for our submissions workshop, where you’ll also be guided to make an informed and impactful personalised submission against Alcoa’s forest mining plans. Â
You’ll learn firsthand about the ways Alcoa are impacting the Jarrah forests, including the impacts of deforestation on wildlife, air & water contamination, recreation and tourism impacts, as well as the environmental approvals process and the next steps you can take after the public comment period.
With your help, by sending in powerful personalised submissions to the EPA, we can limit Alcoa’s mining and ensure WA’s irreplaceable Jarrah forests are protected for generations to come. Â
City West Lotteries House has 3 wheelchair accessible toilets, ACROD parking and a ramp to the building.
